Yah, what if the tweet is too long to Retweet and you need to edit it to shorten it?

Or most commonly you want to add your own comment to a RT.

I think the new system kinds sucks, people will stick to the old RT: method.

In my opinion, what they created is different enough from retweet as we know it, that I feel they have *hijacked* the concept and introduced their own thing.
As you concluded, it’s not Retweet, it’s Like.
By removing the ability to comment on what you retweet, they’ve removed almost all the value from it.
It would have been more honest to name it something other than Retweet.
I haven’t been this riled up by a tech decision in a long time!
