Vrroom! Vrroom! At 600 Tweets Per Second
Twitter posted an interesting stat today. In 2007, there are 5000 tweets per day (TPD). From the graph below, we can see a sharp increase in the second half of last year and TPD reached 35 million tweets by end 2009. Today, the figure is 50 million – or 600 tweets per second! Twitter users growth maybe slowing, but existing users are tweeting more than ever. ¶ @zhiQ
