Firefox Cup 2010 kick off

By on June 11, 2010

A few hours ago, Mozilla just launched its Firefox Cup, ahead of the official kick-off of World Cup 2010. To help their team to win the inaugural Firefox Cup, fans need to dress up their Firefox browser with the team colors, or Persona. The World Cup team with the most people installing their Persona wins.

Google Chrome users can also dress up their browser in their team colors. However, the Mozilla team introduces ‘gaming’ element into it. The rollover-to-preview is pretty neat, where you rollover country flag to preview how the team’s Persona will look on your Firefox before clicking to install it.

Currently, Argentina is leading with over 1,400+ fans, followed closely by Brazil and Mexico in distant third.
