Today, Nokia set up its World’s Biggest Angry Birds Playground at Boulevard Strip, Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur. The event aims to set a new Guinness World Record for the Most People Playing in a Mobile Phone Game Relay.

Those who are interested to participate in the record breaking attempt must first register their details. Then, the registered participants take turn to finish one level of the Angry Birds game. It doesn’t matter if he or she fail or succeed at the game level. At 1 pm, roughly 400 people have registered to participate and the organizer is targeting 1000 (or more) people to set the world record. But by the end of the day, the event set a Guinness World Record for “Most People in a Mobile Phone Game Relay”, with 2,030 participants.

Aside: Right before this posting, “Low Yat Plaza” (not “Nokia”) is trending in Malaysia, because of numerous mentions by those who are at the Nokia-Angry Birds event. Maybe Nokia should’ve secured a “promoted trend” on Twitter, to appear on Trending. Just saying.
